Swedish Coolness – Mini House

December 16th, 2008

Jonas Wagell is the Swedish designer behind this contemporary outdoor building. He calls it the mini house and it can now be bought in the UK. I personally think it is a wonderful piece of design and typically Swedish in its simplicity. He also designed the furniture you can see in the second image.

Pollinating Bee Log

November 13th, 2008

Check out this very cool pollinating bee log available at www.henandhammock.co.uk. It is a home for mason bees and other solitary types. As you are all aware the bees are in trouble. Their decline is unprecedented and is extremely disturbing. Before we know we may not have any meadows or honey left to name a few. One way of helping is creating planting schemes with plants that are nectar rich. Also just creating habitats like the one above will help the bees.

Latest work

September 28th, 2008

Here are some images of our latest work. More images will soon feature on our portfolio page but for the time being please take a look at these.

The paint, from Fired Earth, completely transformed the atmosphere. It feels like a relaxing, calming & quiet retreat somewhere in the Mediterranean, not a garden nestled between large Georgian buildings in central Brighton.

I’m really chuffed with how this garden has come together and can’t wait to plant next week.
