Latest Work – Roof Garden Brighton
November 19th, 2009

Just finished this exciting project in Lewes. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait to next year for the planting to bloom. The bespoke balustrades are most definately the feature of the project complimented by the hand made terracotta pots (www.potsandpithoi.co.uk) planted up with Buxus balls. The paving is black limestone laid in a linear pattern. There will be more pictures to come which will feature on the portfolio page.

Please do go and visit one of our gardens at 40 Tidy St which happens to be involved in the Brighton Artists Open House 2009.

Here is an example of what can be achieved in a small garden in the centre of Brighton. The space is only 6m x 4m. A curving sandstone sett path encloses the lawn with an Ashdown brick retaining wall seen on the right. At the back right on the path room was given for the client to place a chair and admire the largest and south-facing border throughout the summer. They can also escape from the sun. Steps in the top left corner amongst the planting give rise to the illusion of more garden.
