How amazing is this place. This house was designed by the Japanese architecture firm Artechnic. This magnificent place can be found deep in the woods of Karuizawa, Japan. It’s simple double-elliptical shape are simply stunning and seem fit into its surroundings effortlessly. Also it has that beautifully constructed deck in the centre for its residents.

3D images of a small urban garden where the clients are keen gardeners and requested beds for both ornamental planting and vegetables. A custom-built tree seat is situated underneath a Sorbus tree where they can relax and contemplate. Shutter panels line the boundary on two sides with a Fagus sylvatica (Beech) hedge at the back. A modern blue copper basin pond will complete garden.

Here are some images of our latest work. More images will soon feature on our portfolio page but for the time being please take a look at these.
The paint, from Fired Earth, completely transformed the atmosphere. It feels like a relaxing, calming & quiet retreat somewhere in the Mediterranean, not a garden nestled between large Georgian buildings in central Brighton.
I’m really chuffed with how this garden has come together and can’t wait to plant next week.

Charleston House is really worth visiting for inspiration on planting. The vibrant borders are at their best early summer. They are made up of mainly herbaceous perennials e.g. Aqualegia, Allium, Geranium and Thalictrum. The wavy Buxus hedge is also a stunning feature within the walled garden.
It is only a 20 minute drive from Brighton and a stop at Middle farm on the way back for some organic meat and perry cider makes for a fruitful summer afternoon road trip.
