Just finished this exciting project in Lewes. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait to next year for the planting to bloom. The bespoke balustrades are most definately the feature of the project complimented by the hand made terracotta pots (www.potsandpithoi.co.uk) planted up with Buxus balls. The paving is black limestone laid in a linear pattern. There [...]

How amazing is this place. This house was designed by the Japanese architecture firm Artechnic. This magnificent place can be found deep in the woods of Karuizawa, Japan. It’s simple double-elliptical shape are simply stunning and seem fit into its surroundings effortlessly. Also it has that beautifully constructed deck in the centre for its residents.

A custom-built tree seat is situated underneath a Sorbus tree where they can relax and contemplate. Shutter panels line the boundary on two sides with a Fagus sylvatica (Beech) hedge at the back. They are made up of mainly herbaceous perennials e.g. Aqualegia, Allium, Geranium and Thalictrum. The wavy Buxus hedge is also a stunning feature within the walled garden.
