Charleston House
July 21st, 2008
Charleston House is really worth visiting for inspiration on planting. The vibrant borders are at their best early summer. They are made up of mainly herbaceous perennials e.g. Aqualegia, Allium, Geranium and Thalictrum. The wavy Buxus hedge is also a stunning feature within the walled garden.
It is only a 20 minute drive from Brighton and a stop at Middle farm on the way back for some organic meat and perry cider makes for a fruitful summer afternoon road trip.
